SchoolMeal Pro: school meal access control
A full-stack web platform that digitizes access control in the school cafeteria: barcode scanning, balances, online payments and consumption reports.
Purpose
Replace manual logs and physical cards with a modern flow, built to align with U.S. National School Lunch Program (NSLP) standards and adaptable to other regulations.
Objectives
- Cut waiting time in the cafeteria with instant ID scanning.
- Make sure only authorized students receive subsidized meals (Free/Reduced).
- Give parents visibility into their children's consumption and balance.
- Digitize the weekly and monthly menu.
- Take secure online payments to top up accounts.
- Produce compliance reports for school administration and regulators.

- Role-based access for cafeteria staff and administrators.
- Built around FERPA and COPPA requirements for student data.
- Technical documentation in English and Spanish.
